The Calgary Humane Society is an organization that can provide dogs, cats, rabbits, and even exotic animals with life-saving programs to be adopted and go to a loving home. They greatly impacted these animals finding homes since the year 1922 and continue to do so today. The Calgary Humane Society is a non-profit organization funded entirely by donations and the community to support their life-saving programs for these animals.
We worked with The Calgary Humane Society and Westwind Design to design and create a display that could recognize the generous donors who contributed to the shelter. After recently completing new building renovations, the Humane Society wanted a donor recognition display to match their brand, updated building features, and showcase how important these individuals and organizations are. We also installed some exterior signage on the sidewalk and on the side of the humane society building to complement the donor recognition display.
Their main donor recognition was designed to be outside the building, with various heights and widths of pillars and podiums to show some hierarchy of donors and to have some aesthetic abstract within the display. Westwind designed the project as we fabricated and installed the exhibit. The pillars are produced from cedar posts, with mounted stainless steel and installed vinyl cut lettering to display the names and information of each donor. Each display element was manufactured to withstand Alberta’s weather and give the entire donor recognition an equitable feel.
This project had quite a fast timeline, so production had to move quickly, but we couldn’t have asked for a better group to work with on this project. We feel so fortunate and honoured to work with organizations like the Calgary Humane Society.
