Instand, Skyline, Network & Jemco

Pop-Up Brand Comparison

When you compare the four major pop-ups in our market—the Nomadic Instand pop-up, the Skyline Mirage pop-up, the Portables Network pop-up, and the Jemco pop-up—look for these five qualities: durability, stability, flexibility, portability, and affordability.
Durability Maybe the manufacturer’s warranty gives you some idea as to how they think their system will stand up to everyday wear and tear. The Jemco pop-up and the Nomadic Instand pop-up both have a “no questions asked” warranty on their frame and magnetic bars while the Portables Network and Skyline Mirage only warranty against manufacturer’s defects.
Stability Given the popularity of adding a monitor to the pop-up a wide footprint is important in order to support the weight of the monitor. Both the Jemco and Network have a wide footprint and a monitor is simply installed on a shelf within the framework. The Instand and Mirage have narrow footprints and require additional support structures to handle a monitor.
Flexibility Installing internal shelves, slatwall sections, and backlit graphics are all popular options made difficult by the frame structure used in the Nomadic Instand and the Skyline Mirage. Again, a wider footprint simply allows more options to be considered.
Portability In the past a typical floor standing pop-up needed two molded cases. Along came the popular concept of a single case that could convert to a simple podium. Today, oversize and overweight airline fees are an issue with the single case and two cases are back in demand. Only Jemco and Mirage give you the choice of both.
Affordability We are a big fan of the pop-up and think that they are all affordable. However the Nomadic Instand & Skyline Mirage are both made in the USA and with exchange and shipping you should get a better deal on a Jemco or Network.
