New Printer - New Capabilities

Nov 19, 2021 12:53:40 PM

It's officially happening, and it's been a long time coming. After several months of research, attending webinars, and visiting all the different models we could in person, we are finally adding a flatbed printer to our team! So in a couple of weeks, we'll have the new HP Latex R1000 Flatbed Hybrid Printer here with us in the shop. It's going to be like having a celebrity join the crew as I know I'm going to fangirl over it a bit, and I can guarantee that Tyler will be fanboying as well. Must be Good at Multitasking. A Small Business Pre-Requisite.

Apr 21, 2021 4:34:00 PM

Industry Canada's definition of a small business is firms that have fewer than 100 employees. So I suppose we would qualify as a REALLY small business. Before the whole COVID fiasco, we were growing and ready to hire new people to join our team, but we've had to readjust. Over the last year, a few of us got laid off (including myself), some are still laid off, and a few got to stick around to witness the whirlwind pivoting that our company keeps experiencing and that our owners are doing a remarkable job navigating.

Trade Show Trends 2021

Mar 24, 2021 9:00:00 AM

Writing about trade show design trends in this day and age is tough. I'm a bit stumped because, well, there have been no trade shows to establish anything that's trending yet. The whole format of a trade show could be shifting its shape and becoming something different. Virtual events were an excellent placeholder while large events were put on pause, but they won't last forever; in fact, events are beginning to open up again. Many hybrid event ideas have been developed and implemented quickly, and I think that the hybrid format will be here to stay too.

Different Programs for Different Types of Design

Mar 10, 2021 11:09:00 AM

Do you have a favourite creative program? Almost everyone that uses creative software on the daily gravitates toward one more than others. You could be more proficient in it, or maybe it's just simply a force of habit. And my god, there are so many to choose from. Adobe CC programs are the go-to in my experience and the industry standard, so that's what I'll choose to focus on in this post.
