Nov 23, 2022 2:44:00 PM
While we know it is possible to produce a fantastic show-stopping trade show display under tight timelines, we want to ensure that your project receives ample time and attention. Otherwise, it leaves little room for changes, costs more, creates a risk of errors or missed deadlines, and can create scheduling issues. When Amy asked me to write a blog post for this newsletter, I had several ideas. I was happy to contribute to our newsletter but kept finding myself short on time to actually sit down and start writing. Finally, after weeks of "gentle" reminders from Amy, I said okay, "At 3 pm today, I will stop everything I am doing and focus on writing my much-anticipated blog post!" Time ticks away, and WOW, how did it get to be 4:45 pm! What have I been doing? I realized that I had been sucked in again by email. I literally can't help myself when I hear the annoying "ding" that signals you have a new email.

It's officially happening, and it's been a long time coming. After several months of research, attending webinars, and visiting all the different models we could in person, we are finally adding a flatbed printer to our team! So in a couple of weeks, we'll have the new HP Latex R1000 Flatbed Hybrid Printer here with us in the shop. It's going to be like having a celebrity join the crew as I know I'm going to fangirl over it a bit, and I can guarantee that Tyler will be fanboying as well. Getting this new printer isn't just simply getting a new piece of equipment, but the new technology will allow us to expand our capabilities and bring in new kinds of work that weren't available to us before.

When clients consider which type of display suits their needs best, the discussion of portable vs. modular often comes up. The word "modular" is often used in the trade show industry, but many newbies don't exactly understand what that means regarding an exhibit.
There is often confusion about how these two types of displays vary from one another. I understand the confusion because they have a few similarities compared to traditional custom-built displays.

Must be Good at Multitasking. A Small Business Pre-Requisite.
Apr 21, 2021 4:34:00 PM
Industry Canada's definition of a small business is firms that have fewer than 100 employees. So I suppose we would qualify as a REALLY small business. Before the whole COVID fiasco, we were growing and ready to hire new people to join our team, but we've had to readjust. Over the last year, a few of us got laid off (including myself), some are still laid off, and a few got to stick around to witness the whirlwind pivoting that our company keeps experiencing and that our owners are doing a remarkable job navigating.
