Edmonton Public Library Donor Recognition Displays
the project
The team behind the Shelley Milner Children’s Library (located inside the Stanley A. Milner library building) dreamed up a bold, colourful donor recognition wall to welcome visitors and celebrate community support. The vision: giant 3D letters spelling out “IMAGINE” — each five feet tall, with the full display and stretching 35 feet wide. Each letter displays donor names along the sides to create a joyful, eye-catching focal point in the new space. We were also tasked with creating an additional wall-mounted display heart graphics and tiles.

What We Did
The Solution
Turning that vision into reality came with some tricky challenges with the wall’s complex angles. Our team tackled it head-on by building custom measurement frames and full-scale 2D mockups to template the space perfectly. From there, we milled each unique letter from hard-coated styrofoam and gave them a bright, multicolour paint job to match the playful spirit of the library. Donor names were carefully laid out along the angled sidewalls for maximum visibility and impact. For the heart wall display, we produced laser-cut acrylic pieces and graphics for a colourful, layered visuals.
