Genesis Centre Wayfinding & Art Displays
the project
With the large amount of visitors and activities hosted inside this 250,000-square-foot community hub, the Genesis Centre team saw an opportunity to improve how people move through the space. With signage and display upgrades, they also wanted it to reflect the space's inclusive, community-driven mission. We began in 2003 by producing a wide variety of signage and wayfinding solutions, with the addition of custom wall-mounted art exhibits over the years as needed.

What We Did
The Solution
The signage refresh was approached with solutions designed for different surfaces and spaces. Durable aluminum composite material panels were added to anchor key wayfinding points, while vinyl window decals helped guide foot traffic from every direction. An acrylic entrance sign was added with dimensional letters, and large-scale signage for different wings of the building. For donor recognition, we built a magnetic wall panel with circular magnetic decals — easy to update as new names are added. We also designed and fabricated a custom shadow box exhibits to showcase large community artworks.
