Illingworth Kerr Gallery Temporary Art Exhibits
the project
Since 2016, we’ve worked closely with the Illingworth Kerr Gallery (IKG) at the Alberta University of the Arts campus to support the visual experience of their exhibitions. The IKG and Concourse Gallery are central to showcasing student and guest artist's work. With tight exhibition schedules and rotating installations, the graphics need to be bold, precise, and easy to change, without compromising the integrity of the space. On occasion, the gallery also requires dimensional printed artwork pieces and additional signage.

What We Did
The Solution
We produce large-format, gallery-ready graphics designed for quick and seamless changeovers. Vinyl wall decals are printed on carefully selected materials that install cleanly and remove without residue: giving curators and designers the freedom to experiment with bold concepts without worrying about wall damage. When a project calls for it, we also use removable vinyl for artwork, images, and other signage surfaces. To add dimension within a gallery environment, we’ve produced artwork on ACM panels, creating a sleek and modern visual layer.
"I have worked with Exhibit Studio on several exhibition projects for Alberta University of the Arts and they have never disappointed. Their latest installation, an art gallery of applied vinyl featuring student art and design, was a truly excellent project and delivered wow results. It's uncommon to work on a project that delivers the kind of happy reaction we received from a discerning creative community. Highly recommend."
