Ply Gem and Mitten set out to reimagine their retail showroom experience. They wanted to create interactive, welcoming spaces where homeowners, builders, and designers could get hands-on with their full range of exterior building products. From siding and windows to doors and finishing options, every element needed to be functional, well-organized, and true to the quality their brands are known for. They wanted customers to feel confident in their choices, and inspired by the possibilities.
What We Did
The Solution
Starting in Edmonton in 2021, the showroom featured a 14x5 island counter with 75 CNC-cut sample boards, product displays, sleek drawers, a Corian countertop, and a built-in touchscreen for intuitive interaction. Surrounding modular walls showcased full-size windows and doors, combining clean design with efficient transport and assembly.
The Ottawa showroom expanded on the concept with a bold entry wall, 50" screen, backlit logos, and push-button video controls. Inside, full-scale product displays, acoustic felt panels, and labelled sample boards created a quiet, polished environment. A central Meganite-topped island with built-in cabinetry served as a collaborative workspace for clients and staff.
