university of calgary faculty of law history wall
the project
In 2019, the University of Calgary’s Faculty of Law engaged us to reimagine a key feature wall that would celebrate the school’s 40+ year history while reflecting its forward-looking identity. The following year, we were asked to redesign the Faculty’s graduation panels to increase capacity, modernize the look, and enable efficient, cost-effective updates for the future.

What We Did
The Solution
We created a cohesive display system for the history wall that balances storytelling, recognition, and long-term flexibility. The display features a layered mix of materials, imagery, milestones, and quotes, unified by clean geometry and a black, white, grey, and red palette aligned with the University of Calgary’s visual identity. Dimensional lettering and warm wood accents add depth while keeping the layout clear and structured.
The graduation panels were redesigned to streamline the layout, increase capacity, and introduce a more contemporary look. The new format accommodates more graduates per panel, supports efficient future updates, and delivers production and installation cost efficiencies. The final displays balance tradition with a clean, modern look and remains flexible for years to come.
