Carey was born in Calgary but had moved to San Diego where he grew up. He has over 40 years of construction which made transitioning to the trade show world a lot easier. Carey moved to Las Vegas where he spent 14 years doing installation & dismantle for some of the world's biggest shows such as SEMA (the Specialty Equipment Market Association), which is the largest automotive show in the world, as well as CES (the Consumer Electronics Show). After all the excitement in the USA, and sunshine in Vegas, Carey joined the Exhibit Studio team. Since then, he’s worked on displays such as Dr. Pepper & Snapple Group booth, CPTDC’s 50x70 exhibit at the Global Petroleum Show, and WestJet’s Midway Airplane Race game for the Calgary Stampede.
When Carey isn’t hard at work building and deconstructing your booths, he’s spending time with his wife, Annie while exploring the outdoors. Carey loves racing cars, kayaking, surfing, and backpacking. If you’re lucky enough, you may even get to try some of his famous tacos.
Carey has explored and crossed quite a few items off of his bucket list. One of the items to cross off next is extreme climbing, using steel cables attached to the side of mountainous paths, also known as Via Ferrata.
